Emma and Greg’s wedding at Ballyseede Castle was the epitome of an elegant and relaxed Irish celebration. Taking place on a warm and sunny September day, their special day perfectly captured the charm and grandeur of this iconic castle venue in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Ballyseede Castle, a 4-star luxury hotel, is part of the Romantic Castles of Ireland Collection, alongside Markree Castle, Bellingham Castle, and Cabra Castle. Set on 30 acres of lush grounds, it offers a perfect backdrop for weddings. I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings at all these remarkable venues, but Ballyseede always feels like stepping into a storybook.

Ceremony on the Castle Grounds

Emma and Greg chose The Belfry, the castle’s custom-built, church-style ceremony space, adorned with stunning floral arrangements by Every Occasion Florist. It was an intimate and heartfelt ceremony officiated by David, a Celebrant, Registered Solemniser, and Wedding Officiant.. For couples considering an outdoor option, Ballyseede also offers beautiful gardens perfect for al fresco vows.

A Relaxed and Joyful Celebration

The day was all about enjoying the company of family and friends. After a quick and stress-free photoshoot on the castle grounds, Emma and Greg joined their guests for a drinks reception in the elegant formal lounges and Orangery. This approach is ideal for couples wanting to maximize time with loved ones without compromising on capturing beautiful memories.

The festivities continued with guests mingling on the terrace, soaking up the castle’s magical atmosphere before the evening celebrations began. We captured fun, candid shots of Emma, Greg, and their guests before the dance floor opened.
