A Magical Wedding Celebration by Lough Ourna
Once upon a time, on the serene banks of Lough Ourna, a magical day unfolded for Maggie and Philip. Their wedding was an intimate and heartfelt celebration, made even more special by the challenges they overcame to make it happen. Despite the uncertainties and frustrations brought about by the pandemic, their spirits remained high, and their wedding blossomed into a warm and sunny day—truly their very own spring in December!
The Charm of Ashley Park House Tipperary
Ashley Park House provided the perfect backdrop for Maggie and Philip’s wedding, with its picturesque scenery and enchanting atmosphere. As a photographer, capturing the essence of such a beautiful day was both a joy and a privilege. I believe the photos below convey the magic and emotion of the day better than words ever could. The wedding party’s kindness and appreciation for the lovely couple were evident, and the unique personalities of everyone present shone through in each photo.
Immersed in the Celebration
To truly capture the essence of a wedding, I immerse myself in the spirit of the occasion, becoming emotionally involved in the process. This emotional connection doesn’t happen with every wedding, but when it does, it elevates the experience for everyone involved. On this particular day, I felt a deep bond with Maggie and Philip, which made capturing their special moments all the more meaningful. For that, I am truly grateful and happy.
Morning Preparations
The day began with Maggie and her bridesmaids getting ready, surrounded by laughter and a few happy tears. Sorcha O’Dowd did a fantastic job with makeup and hair, ensuring everyone looked their best. The bridal suite at Ashley Park House buzzed with activity, with bouquets from A Room in Bloom adding a burst of colour and fragrance. Meanwhile, Philip and his groomsmen were getting ready in another part of the house, looking dapper in their suits from Jim McLoughney Menswear.
A Heartfelt Ceremony
The ceremony, officiated by Willie Collins, was heartfelt and personal. The love and commitment between Maggie and Philip were evident in every glance and gesture. As they exchanged vows, the sun broke through the clouds, casting a golden light over the proceedings. It was a truly magical moment that I was honoured to capture.
Celebration and Festivities
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception filled with laughter, love, and music from The Secrets Wedding Band. The atmosphere was joyful and celebratory, with the couple’s happiness radiating throughout the room. JM Videostudio captured the day on film, ensuring that Maggie and Philip would have a beautiful record of their special day to look back on.
As the evening progressed, the celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and dancing under the stars. The staff at Ashley Park House, particularly Margaret, Sasha, Yaka, Lucy, and others, took great care of everyone, ensuring that the day went smoothly and beautifully. Their hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for their contribution to making the day so special.
Maggie and Philip’s wedding at Ashley Park House was a day filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments. It was an honour to be part of their celebration and to capture the memories that will last a lifetime.
"From day one Alex was a gentleman to deal with. He was easy to contact and answered all our questions efficiently. On the day he was so friendly to everyone and just blended into the background when taking pictures. All our guests were so impressed with his friendly and professional nature. A couple that was at our wedding have since booked Alex for their own wedding having seen his calming nature. We are so thrilled with our pictures. He had the right mix of group shots, close ups, artistic views and just captured everything so well. The only difficult part was trying to pick photos for our album as they were all brilliant! We would 100% recommend Alex to anyone. He ticks all the boxes and overall is a lovely lovely person to have with you on such a special day."
