Station House Hotel Wedding.

The Station House Hotel Wedding. Aoife & Ryan.

Aoife & Ryan’s Summer Wedding at The Station House Hotel – A Boutique Venue in County Meath

Nestled in the heart of County Meath, The Station House Hotel blends historic charm with natural beauty. Once a bustling railway junction, this boutique hotel is surrounded by 12 acres of gardens and woodlands, offering a stunning wedding backdrop. Couples can choose between The Turntable, a magical outdoor amphitheatre, or the elegant Carriage Suite for an indoor ceremony.

A Relaxed Atmosphere & Amazing Staff

Aoife and Ryan fell in love with the hotel’s laid-back vibe, scenic setting, and incredible staff, including wedding coordinator Aoife, Pierce, and others.

Getting Ready & First Look

On a warm summer day with clear skies and a light breeze, I captured drone shots and video snippets of the hotel’s beautiful grounds. I started the day with Ryan and his groomsmen at Kilmessan Junction Cabin, where the craic was in full swing. Meanwhile, Aoife got ready in the main Station Building, in a stunning room with a standalone bathtub. Her bridesmaids enjoyed prosecco before she shared an emotional first look with her siblings – filled with hugs and happy tears.

An Outdoor Ceremony Under the Trees

The ceremony took place at The Turntable, a charming amphitheatre surrounded by trees, led by celebrant Edel O’Connell. Aoife and Ryan added a special touch by jumping the broom, a fun tradition symbolizing their new life together.

Laughter, Speeches & Dinner in the Carriage Suite

Guests gathered outside The Station House for heartfelt speeches filled with laughter and tears. Before heading inside for dinner, the bridal party added some fun by wearing black mustaches, sending the room into fits of laughter as they entered the Carriage Suite.

First Dance & Sparklers in the Amphitheatre

As night fell, everyone returned to the amphitheatre, where sparklers lit up the scene for Aoife and Ryan’s magical first dance. The celebrations continued in the Carriage Suite, with music from Electric Circus keeping the energy high.

Aoife and Ryan’s wedding was the perfect mix of love, fun, and unforgettable moments at The Station House Hotel.

Poulaphouca House

Poulaphouca House Wedding. Diana & Pawel

First Look

As expected, the Irish weather surprised us with lashing rain! But despite the weather, Diana and Pawel’s wedding was absolutely perfect. Diana, escorted by her dad, met Pawel for their first look at Tulfarris Hotel. The staircase provided a lovely, intimate setting for this special moment.

Getting Married in the Rain

We had a bit of fun running through the rain to the Tesla wedding car, heading towards the beautiful St. Kevin’s Church in Laragh, Co. Wicklow. The stunning landscape surrounding the church made the rain seem like a distant memory as we arrived mostly dry inside.

Wedding Theme & Bridal Party

Diana chose a forest theme with green and white colors for her wedding. The bridal party wore satin sage green dresses and dark green suits, perfectly matching the natural beauty of the day.

Photoshoot at Wicklow Mountains

After the ceremony, the rain continued, and we weren’t sure if we could get any outdoor photos before heading to Poulaphouca House & Fallas. But, as it often happens in Ireland, the sun appeared just as we reached the top of the road, showcasing the beauty of Wicklow after the rain. We quickly captured a few stunning shots of the bride and groom before happily heading to the venue.

Poulaphouca House & Falls

Diana and Pawel chose Poulaphouca House for its stunning natural surroundings and the sense of privacy it offers. It’s an ideal location for an intimate, serene wedding celebration, and they had the entire venue exclusively for their special day.

Joyful First Dance

The first dance was a beautifully choreographed moment, with Diana and Pawel rehearsing beforehand. It was a wonderful performance, accompanied by The Trips band. Another touching moment was when the bride danced with her father, and the groom danced with his mother, creating more unforgettable memories for the evening.

Advice from the Bride

Diana’s advice to future brides: “Get the groom involved in the planning early on and enjoy the experience of planning the wedding together!”

"Alex was simply a great choice for a wedding photographer. He was very professional and also had good ideas for photos. He is a photographer that would make sure even the schedule is going accordingly on the day and communicated very well with other vendors to ensure smooth running of the event. Alex's pictures came back very high quality and you can tell he is an expert in it with the way he can adjust to any environment and bring out the best in the final product. We had lots of fun and laughter with Alex on the day it was sad to see him go 😃"Thank you again,

Diana and Pawel

Raheen Woods Hotel Wedding

Raheen Woods Hotel Athenry | Grace & Keith

A Perfect Day For A Wedding Photoshoot in Athenry

Grace and Keith’s wedding day was graced with unexpectedly lovely morning sunshine, a delightful contrast to the previous week’s rainy weather. The beautiful weather allowed guests to enjoy their reception drinks outdoors in the newly upgraded and stunning gardens of Raheen Woods Hotel.

Photographing Pre-Ceremony Moments

Photographs were taken of the somewhat nervous Keith and his friends on the hotel grounds, but their anxiousness quickly faded as the day unfolded. I then moved to Grace’s parents’ house in Galway, where I had the pleasure of capturing the morning’s precious moments in a relaxed and homely environment surrounded by family and close friends.

A Traditional Touch

The traditional bonfire set by the neighbours added a charming touch as Grace and her bridal party departed for the ceremony in a vintage VW van.

A Beautiful Experience

Photographing Grace and Keith was a truly wonderful experience. We explored Athenry’s landmarks, including the landscaped park by the castle grounds and the iconic Athenry Train Station, before returning to Raheen Woods Hotel to spend time with guests. The wedding ambiance was enhanced by the amazing personalities and fun-loving nature of the guests, making my job a joy.

Special Thanks

A special mention must go to Grace’s mother, Angela, for the beautiful flower arrangements, and to Grace’s Auntie Una for the superbly delicious cake.

Overall, it was a pleasure to capture the joy and character of Grace and Keith’s special day.
